@rlee287, @willow-ch: Have you tested on real hardware? - When I run transmission-gtk on VM, it shows errors (but not, "DRI3: Failed to initialize"). The application launches and works as expected. - On real hardware install, I see "DRI3: Failed to initialize" and the application does not start.
I can confirm the workaround works. I just want to add, when we have problem, if we check '/dev/dri/by-path' we see, ``` sv@dev-vm:~$ ls -l /dev/dri/by-path/ total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Oct 18 19:29 pci-0000:00:02.0-card -> ../card1 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Oct 18 19:29 pci-0000:00:02.0-platform-simple-framebuffer.0-card -> ../card0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Oct 18 19:29 pci-0000:00:02.0-render -> ../renderD128 ``` where, 'platform-simple-framebuffer.0-card' is a broken link; there is no 'card0' under '/dev/dri'. When we do not have an issue or when we apply the workaround, there is no 'platform-simple-framebuffer.0-card' link. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2162539 Title: transmission-gtk fails to open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/2162539/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
