A bit of history. Everything was running perfectly under 24.04LTS. I
upgraded to 26.04LTS via do-release-upgrade and sound became an
immediate problem.

YouTube videos inside Google-Chrome-Stable would have sound dropouts
every few minutes. After X number of dropouts the screen would go blank
and I'd be left at a login screen or worse, the box would lock up hard
requiring the reset button on the chassis. This led to investigating
what was at fault.

Long story short. Chrome is causing kernel issues and there are numerous
'whoopsie' executions that eventually lead to:
Failed to start apport-autoreport.service - Process error reports when
automatic reporting is enabled.

I suspect not all errors are being 'automatically' reported.

I nuked my box, installing 26.04 from scratch and the errors under
chrome are as robust as ever to the point chrome is not usable.
Switching to Firefox, as a test, has reduced but not eliminated the
sound dropouts. Not using Chrome has eliminated the black screen to
login and hardware lock up but my test sample is only a day long.

BTW - trying to look up my bug reports via:
echo https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/$(sudo cat /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id)
and then hitting :
https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/21093236dde096c3ede3cd89136b8a009e6f8807d0fb23ebb215be56e6c3b248b12c728a1f395fd1a11f94724bdb3210dc47416a1460c1caff1a1f916f008ae5
Produces the attached image. I've uploaded numerous reports.
