I confirm this problem with this card. Error occurs when booting from Live CD (I didn't try to install). Knoppix (4.0.1/2 don't remember last number) does work just fine on the same system, with as only boot command desktop=icewm to speed things up. The card uses the AGP slot and there is a Voodoo 2 graphic acceleration card connected to it. The last one however never hindered neither Knoppix nor Mandrake/Mandriva (9.2 to 2005) to configure the X server correctly.
