Public bug reported:

After the first sucessfull login, if restart the computer then you can't
login anymore, your login name/password are accepted (by gdm) but when
gnome must load the graphical interface stops and don't load gnome. I
can login in a tty or by ssh. I can restart X (ctrl-alt-backspace) but i
get the same problem (the system accepts the login/passwd but no desktop
appears). I've restarted many times but all the users that have logged
in at least 1 time can't start the graphical session anymore.

I inspected many log's (/var/log/messages /var/log/syslog) but i can't
find something that explains this.
