I've just installed Kubuntu Dapper and here is the run down on the
laptop keys supporting state:

hotkey, function, Dapper result
Fn+F1, help, none
Fn+F2, setup, none
Fn+F3, power management scheme toggle, none
Fn+F4, sleep, none
Fn+F5, display toggle, not tested
Fn+F6, Screen blank, works as expected
Fn+F7, Touchpad toggle, none
Fn+F8, speaker toggle, works as expected
Fn+F11, num lock toggle, works as expected
Fn+F12, scroll lock toggle, unknown
Fn+Up, Volume up, none
Fn+Down, Volume down, none
Fn+Left, brightness down, works as expected
Fn+Right, brightness up, works as expected
Fn+Pg Up, Home, works as expected
Fn+Pg Down, End, works as expected

There are also other special laptop keys but, because they seem to be custom to
this model (launch email, launch browser, toggle bluetooth, toggle wireless)
maybe this isn't the place to report about them. At least in Hoary the wireless
key worked flawlessly at turning off the wireless modem. Turning it on was a
whole different thing but because I'm using a ndiswrapper driver maybe that
would be asking for too much.
