Does this problem exist in an installed copy of Ubuntu 6.06, or just on the live CD?
No point installing Ubuntu 6.06 if a printer can't be added... I'm not sure why this is listed as "Medium" and not "Severe." Not being able to set up any printer at all is a fatal flaw, especially for a distribution designed/released for "long term support." Is Ubuntu 6.06 still in beta or what? Is there a fix or workaround for this bug yet? An operating system that can't print for extended periods (i.e., since its release) is useless. -- When trying to set up a printer in http://localhost:631/ an error occurs https://launchpad.net/bugs/45500 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
