Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg

Under Ubuntu 6.06, going from Gnome (1280x1024) to a vitual terminal with
ctrl-alt-F1, I see only the end of the longest lines, the beginning of the
lines is truncated on the left like if the virtual terminal had moved left out
of the physical window. It is still functioning: I can do a (blind) login and
sudo shutdown.
MSI K7NG2G motherboard with integrated Nvidia nForce2 video. AG Neovo E-17 17"
LCD monitor 1280x1024, 135 MHz max, horizontal: 30-80kHz, vertical: 49-75Hz. No
such problem with this hardware under Ubuntu 5.10.
I know little about packages but I am accusing X because I have no such problem
if I boot in single user recovery mode. The problem is only when going from a
graphical to a text mode virtual terminal.

** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
