Well, I'm not a kernel expert (least to say) and all I can report is
that both kernel 2.6.27-1 and-2 won't simply let me boot on my acer
aspire 9302.

Kernel 2.6.26-5 boots fine although I still get the same acpi-related
warning.

Tried to add noapic and noacpi options but that did nothing. It just
halts on displaying the 'ACPI: EC: GPE storm detected, disabling EC GPE'
message.

Don't know how to report it into more details. If anybody in the kernel
team thinks that's an issue, I'll gladly follow instructions on how-to
provide with a comprehensive and helpful report.
