Sorry I was not very "verbose" about it ;)

(Screenshot 1) What I meant was, that when I have 2 files, for example
application-pgp.png and application-png-signature.png and I want to
replace one with another, by rename, nautilus say "The item could not be
renamed", the same story is when i want, for example replace file
application-pgp.png with symbolic link application-pgp.png which points
on for example application-png-signature.png

(Screenshot 2) But when I copy file from other folder or from desktop to
the folder nautilus says "A file named application-pgp.png already
exists. Do you want to repleace it?" So I think it would be helpful if
nautilus also would ask if I want to repleace a file when I rename file
to name that already exists.

Also It would be great if nautilus could provide some info about files
in this dialog box. Like dates, permissions, sizes, and a preview of
graphic files one next to each other, so you can quickly look on info to
be sure you are replacing old version with the new one.

Would it be hard to implement?

Alsa accidentally I've just noticed that when this second dialog
appears, for the time it is displayed, I can't manipulate any file on
the desktop, i can open new browser window, but I can't manipulete any
file nor I can't scroll content and I can't close this window. This
behavior disappears when the dialog box is closed. Interesting is that
this behavior doesn't appear with the first dialog box ("The item could
not be renamed").

I hope this is helpful :)
