I took the kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/pub/next/2.6.27-rc3/ There's a Hardy as well as an Intrepid version. I can test the Live CD, but the reason I installed this kernel was to resolve an earlier issue I had with hotdocking in the 2.6.24 (bug 163211) In any case, the new kernel solves that problem on the Thinkpad X61s.
