I have a bug similar to this only it is with burning a DVD. Here's what
happens:

I have two DVD drives. One is a DVD-RW and the other is just a plain DVD
Player. I had a home made video in the plain DVD player which is not
encrypted that i wanted to back up to another DVD. So i placed the
original copy in the regular DVD player and placed a blank DVD-R in the
DVD-RW drive. K3B notices both drives properly. Upon clicking on "Burn"
the system attempts to save the original DVD to hard disk through an ISO
file. Upon completion of saving the iso file...K3B records the whole
process of being 50% complete.

The DVD-RW starts blinking and moving indicating that it is burning, but
the 50% status bar never progresses. Eventually, the DVD-RW stops
blinking, but nothing happens on screen. When i move the K3B window
over, it makes that shadow effect and everything turns white and grey
indicating that K3b is frozen. I must kill the process to get out of
K3B.

Two results from this:

1. On one occasions, the DVD-R was never burned and it was still
recorded as a blank DVD-R. At this stage, K3B reported it as 50%
complete, but the DVD-RW never lit up indicating that it was burning. I
also killed the application, but nothing was burned.

2. On another occasion, the DVD-R burned correctly. The DVD-RW drive lit
up indicating it was burning. K3B again reported it as 50% complete, but
never progressed. I also had to kill the application after the DVD-RW
stopped activity.

Hopefully this can be resolved. Thanks
