I am running Kubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy Haron) in Wubi mode. None of the solutions ever mentioned for this touchpad problem has been effective in my case. I have tried all the solutions that I could find on several forums. NOTHING! nada! A challenge to the developers---Let's get this very basic necessity fixed and show that Linux is really in the game with other operating systems. I have spent too long trying to make this work and now I just want to go back to something more comfortable - like Windows. Don't give me a reason to do it! walt
