I've got that bug too, and I'll try to describe it more carefully. If I start up Banshee music player and listen to some songs, then try to play a video on Youtube, there will be no audio in the video. If I close Banshee, there will still be no sound.
Closing Banshee and Firefox and then reopening Firefox won't help, neither will it work in Opera, even though I didn't even start Opera before I started Banshee. I use Firefox 3.0.1, Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 with the latest patch.
