Linux set 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Aug 20 17:53:40 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux Samba 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.5 Binary hint samba I cannot resolve Windws host names for other computers on my LAN. ping <host> where <host> is a Windows computer name fails.
