Okay, i just have tested it on Intrepid, in a recent snapshot. Now logout screen does not freeze, computer reboot. But the problem now is that always reboot into default grub entry, and not into entry selected from restart menu. Conclusion: There is not freeze on Intrepid, but this feature just does not work.
