Is this isolated to the USB hub inside the monitor or does it happen with USB
ports on the computer also?
When the USB ports on the screen stop working, do the USB ports on the computer
stop working too?
Do you have any high-current devices on the USB hub (such as bus-powered hard
disks with no external PSU)?
