Using Kubuntu Alpha 5 Kernel 2.6.27-3 KDE4.1.1 64 bit. The cursor problem no longer appears. With the red glass cursor selected the cursor is red with no black displayed regardless of what window is open and where it is dragged. This problem may have also been partly due to the display driver, I'm using the nVidia 173.14.12 driver on a Geoforce 7600 GS card. Please mark this bug as fixed.
