Who said I was using Xorg? Just kidding! There you go! I created the new user (with adduser) and the kde session didn't even bother to start... which by the way is what was happening with my KDE session (till I deleted the empty directory .kde/share/plasma following a tip provided on the #ubuntu+1 channel on IRC).
