Same problem on an out-of-the-box Ubuntu 6.06 64-bit. Wacom tablet is CTF-420.
Occasionally the cursor can be moved around the whole screen. But often it cannot reach the top and/or left side of the screen. The movement ends at about 90% of the whole screen (but this is not always the location).
