i just downloaded it again (using the daily_live 64bit option of unetbootin)
and it works fine
no extra parameters needed, it just started all except for one small thing

I had to take out the splash parameter or else the screen would just go black
i could tell it was starting, and i was able to log in, but if the splash
parameter was set - the screen would just be black
when i took off the splash option it complained about not being able to run
/sbin/v86d or something along those lines

this is fixed by removing the splash option, installing the restricted
nvidia drivers, and then it boots up fine from there, with no extra
parameters or anything out of the ordinary
