Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
The modem depends on usb_modeswitch (http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/), which I load using udev rules (attached). To connect with the modem, I have to use HSOconnect (http://www.pharscape.org/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,68/page,viewtopic/t,474/), as that's the only way I've found to work. wvdial doesn't detect the modem, even if I load the usbserial module on it, and the same applies to gnome-ppp. Then network-manager is no better off. I can't see any way to tell network-manager that I have this modem connected to my computer. It's loaded with the hso module, but network-manager doesn't detect the ttyUSB's either. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Option Icon 225 HSDPA mobile broadband modem not detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272254 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
