I'm running the AMD64 version of Intrepid Alpha 6 right now, and here I've had a crash as well, also (just before) installing the nvidia driver. However, I just restarted the app again, and the nvidia driver then installed fine (I did, of course, have to restart xorg, which for a change also went fine. I was expecting to see the fallback options :P ).
