Fedora have a fix for the volume keys that works for my upstream kernel too - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=451182 . It also enables support for the wifi hotkey too (with the caveat that wifi will always been enabled on boot and that you have to use the pciehp.pciehp_force=1 boot parameter). Very elegant too.
