Public bug reported:

Everything is working fine with a single 2GB DDR3 module(OCZ gold
series- OCZ3G13332G).

When I insert the second RAM module (exactly the same type) the system crashed
during startup.
No matter if this is in single or dual channel mode.
The bios detects the RAM correct. Memtest86(1.70) doesn't detect any errors.

my hardware:
I'm using a Asus P5Q3 Deluxe with a Intel P45 chipset and a Intel Core 2 Quad
Q9450.
software:
I'm using kubuntu 8.04.1 with a 2.6.24-19-generic kernel.

When the system hangs, I get one of the following errors (sometimes it just
reboots):
Bad page state in process 'ld_static'
Call trace: bad_page+0x60/0xa0

or
Kernel panic - not syncing: Aiee, killing interrupt handler

or
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

All I'm interested in is a stable system, I'm not trying to overclock anything.
Can anybody confirm this problem?
Thanks a lot for your help!
