Support for alc861 sound chip remains poor in intrepd.
When I run m-a a-i alsa (suggested in hardy to fix alc861 issues) i get
a nice error in line 90 of ainfo.c "implicit declaration" on intrepid.
I usually to a daily "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade" on my htpc
that i switched to intrepid, as on hardy it was outputting no sound
after all, left alone ac3 via toslink passthrough to the amplifier...
So I kindly request: what is needed to gez alsa source buildable on
intrepid and what is needed to get this alc861 chip working?
I am offering too help, but need guidance.
