Unfortunately even alpha 6 doesn't boot on my laptop (see also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.20/+bug/67395/comments/14). Maybe my CD drive is broken. But I couldn't find the "the linux-image-2.6.27-* package" to install it.
