Public bug reported:
although you may not think this is a bug dual monitor support in linux
is pathetic. From having to select from different standards such as
mergedfb and xinerama and going through the archaic configuratioin of
the xorg.conf file. Other operating systems seem to support dual
monitors rather well (winXP and macOS).

xinerama does not support dri, metacity does not work well with xinerama,etc.
