Public bug reported: I tried to boot using "init=/bin/sh" as a kernel parameter. I'm using 2.6.18.1 with mactel patches on a macbook 1.83ghz but I have the same problem with the ubuntu 2.6.17 kernel. I see the kernel tries to go to sleep, the hd is powered down, but processor fan and video are still on. The last thing I can read is : "Stopping tasks.. Freezing bdevs.. Freezing kernel threads.. _"
Any idea? ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- macbook sleep (suspend to ram) https://launchpad.net/bugs/70385 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
