Public bug reported: Binary package hint: php5
When I tried to install php5-gd with command apt-get install php5-gd I get following response - Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: php5-gd: Depends: php5-common (= 5.2.1-0ubuntu1.6) but 5.2.3-1ubuntu6.4 is to be installed E: Broken packages Details of my machine and OS are as below- OS: GNU/Linux Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon php5 installed version:5.2.3-lubuntu6.4 machine: i686 ** Affects: php5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Visibility changed to: Public ** This bug is no longer flagged as a security issue -- php5-gd failed to install due to unmet dependencies https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/273888 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
