gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory --type list --list-type string --set /apps/panel/global/disabled_applets ['OAFIID:GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet'] If you've got any custom packages you deploy in your infrastructure you'll be able to put it in a .postinst like I am This work around was tested on a Hardy Heron 8.04.1 machine with home directories mounting through NFS. -- fast-user-switch heavy cpu usage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
