It seems to me when this problem occurred it would be when i would shut down firefox, leave my computer on, and then come back later. I discovered that for some reason the program was not shutting itself down when i closed it. I just brought up the task manager went to the processes and found the firefox.exe program running. I highlighted it and canceled it and it has worked fine since. Hope that helps.
