I created the file that causes problems by using the site
http://pentacom.jp/soft/ex/font/edit_canvas.html and pressing the sample
button and saving the result. I have attached the file to this message.

On my second computer i just tried putting the file in my ~/.fonts dir
(witch didn't exist yet). When I then logged out (just pressing the icon
caused a logout instead of the questionscreen whether i wanted to
logout, shutdown, etc) and tried to login again with that user just the
background screen appeared and nothing more. After removing the file I
could login as normal.

On my main computer I put the file (by using sudo) in the directory
/usr/share/fonts/truetype. After pressing the exit button the computer tried to
start a screen several times and then came with "The display server has been
shut down 6 times in the last 90 seconds. Etc.."
A complete restart does everything it should until the login screen should
appear. Then the previous message about the display server appears. After
removing the file the computer starts normal again.

Hope this helps.
