It seems that evolution still downloads emails as I sayd in my second post. Maybe I will try to test this issue in Intrepid as you say but I don't understand why many bugs are resolved in Intrepid and not in Hardy. Isn't this last a LTS distro which should have additional stabilization (http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu/releases)? The consistent way should be to resolve bugs first in LTS and not in newer non LTS, still alpha, distros.
