I close this bug again since this boot problem and the one in 2.6.17 are
two different issues. In 2.6.15 (Dapper) the kernel didn't boot with
BootX - period. That was fixed in 2.6.15-23-powerpc.

The 2.6.17 (Edgy) kernel boots fine when no initial ramdisk (initrd.img)
is choosen in BootX. It obviously cannot find the root filesystem when
and panics. This bug is reported as bug #50746 and is still open.
