Public bug reported: [Intrepid upto date as of October 2nd; this is an upgrade from Hardy (as of yesterday) done by using update-manager]
When I log in and get my Gnome session Compiz is running - I had it disabled on Hardy and prefer it would stay that way (it's not that fast on my machine); so I go to the Preferences->GL Desktop - the dialog appears together with two other dialogs; the first asks me whether I want to keep this new setting or revert to the old one - I do revert to old one and GL desktop goes away and all is great - however when I next restart X it comes back. I have gone to 'remember currently running applications' on the options tab in the sessions menu item. The other dialog that appears says 'An error occurred while loading or saving configuration information for gnome-compiz-preferences. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly.'; Detail button shows 'Type mismatch: Expected list, got string' Dave ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intrepid: compiz won't stay off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
