This is a new laptop that came with Windows, and I haven't tried installing any versions of Ubuntu pre-Intrepid. It's possible to install Hardy and then use the update manager to move to Intrepid when the final version is released, isn't it? Assuming so, I will try downloading Hardy and installing that. I'll report back when I'm done.
