Public bug reported: Binary package hint: knetwork manager
Knetwork manager has a range of problems in its latest version. The first problem is that it sometimes start up and sometimes not. The second problem is that if my wireless transmitter is switched off it will not connect to the Ethernet at all. The third problem is that it will not pick up a dial up dsl connection which is started with pppoe. It might or might not connect to the internet via dhcp and then pppoe must be run every time or strated with pon manually. I have a Toshiba A 305 notebook with intel pro wireless 4965 AG or AGN and realtek RTL8102E ethernet controller. running Kubuntu 8.120B ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel + Binary package hint: knetwork manager Knetwork manager has a range of problems in its latest version.
