jerry it looks like you have a mixed distro some edgy packages with some dapper packages or the debug repo you added is edgys and you need dappers. there is a package named firefox-dbg you can use for firefox 1.5.0.7. you can also change the debug repo to be dapper instead of edgy (atleast i think pitti set one up for dapper. please try with the firefox-dbg package.
As a side note for both of you.
