okay i solved the problem. Since i was upgrading from an older ubuntuversion my locale was set to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and this was causing easytag to write the filenames in ISO-8859-1 (strange isn't it?). The default locale for new users in intrepid is LANG=de_AT.UTF-8. Using this locale for my migrated user solved the problem for me. easytag is now writing the filenames in utf-8 :)
