Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

NetworkManager hangs my system completely after running for a few
seconds, I get no response from the keyboard or mouse. This normally
results in a hung system at the login screen, but I've removed the
symlinks to NetworkManager from /etc/rcX.d to get my desktop available.

In this state I can attempt to start NetworkManager with the command

sudo NetworkManager --no-daemon 2> hang.txt

but still get the same result, the resulting file is attached.

The version of NetworkManager I'm using is
0.7~~svn20080928t225540+eni0-0ubuntu2 which is currently the latest in
the Intrepid repositories, my current kernel is 2.6.27-5-generic and I'm
using wireless extensions 29.

My wireless card is a NetGear PCI WG311v2 acx111 based device, other PC
specs which may be of interest are,

M/Board: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Processor: Q6600
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 8500 GT

If there's any more information I can provide then please let me know.
