Are you able to reproduce this trying to boot with the latest Intrepid
Beta LiveCD? http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/intrepid/ibex . If so, can
you try booting with the 'quiet' and 'splash' options removed and take a
picture of your screen when it hangs so that we can see the exact errors
printed? To remove the 'quiet' and 'splash' options when using the
LiveCD - Press F6 then delete the 'quiet' and 'splash' from the line.
