Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ufw

I installed ufw to try it out and I am now trying to uninstall it.
I originally enabled it by "ufw enable" and I have tried to disable it with
"ufw disable".

However, I now need to run "ufw disable" everytime I boot up before my
network will work. (more specifically I can connect to my wifi but
hostname lookups hang).

Additionally, after running ufw, my ping and other such tools now
require running with sudo. ufw disable did not restore this behaiour
either.

I would have expected "ufw disable" to undo anything performed by "ufw
enable".

I am currently running "Ubuntu EEE" which is based on ubuntu 8.04.
Ufw version is 0.16.2.3 from hardy repo.
