this is using hardy updated from gutsy and feisty. I recently changed the graphics card from a gforce 7900gs to radeon 1600 pro pci-express and before that I upgraded to a MA790X-DS4 motherboard, phenom 9550 CPU from DFI lanparty NF4-ultra Socket 939 CPU. in both cases, before and after the change in graphics card, this bug happened. but before I changed motherboard I had a different problem where jackd kept dyeing. no proposed updates are not enabled since they made my system unstable (surprise surprise). my laptop (hpcompaqv6001au) has Ibex ... haven't tested that yet. the previous problem to this one I solved on my laptop by updating to Ibex. and yes from nvidia to fglrx with no change in the bug. I have the standard restricted drivers installed (no envy or compiled).
