Hey, I'm borrowing a friend's notebook for a few weeks, which has a
Truemobile 1400 Mini-PCI card with a Broadcom BCM4318 Chipset. It runs
Windows XP, and I don't have the authority to install Ubuntu. I've
checked the info on the firmware stuff and fw-cutter, etc, but I don't
understand if this is a permenant Firmware update and is thus "One-time-
only" or if the firmware file is something that needs to be installed at
each reboot. I'm only running the Live CD (Dapper), and am just
wondering if I need to keep the firmware on a flash drive or something.
On the otherhand, if this is a one-time, permenant update, I am
concerned that it might "mess-up" the Windows driver. Hmm, I just
thought of something.
