I would like to second this bug. I added :
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
EndSection
to my xorg.conf file which allowed for mouse and keyboard to work again.
Before I added these there were no entries for "InputDevice" at all in
the xorg.conf file.
