Wow; it's been years since I've checked this e-mail.  Thanks for the
follow-up.  I think it's a question of the keys being unbound since I
upgraded from the previous version.  It is specifically related to the gui
applications as the keys are bound and work properly in regular terminal
windows.

I'm getting a lot of this in my ~/.xsession-errors file:

I find myself wondering if that's part of it.  I'm pretty sure it's a local
configuration problem; I just don't know how it was born during upgrade --
will all users of Dvorak keyboards experience this same issue?  Thanks and
