Gerv, You have to edit mirrors in file /etc/apt/sources.list. Use command 'gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list'.
1. Try removing gb. from the mirror name. So you will be using main mirror. 2. Also make sure you have entries for hardy-updates, and hardy-security uncommented i.e. not starting with #. After doing the changes you will have to do 'sudo apt-get update' first to update package listing. Also check if output of command 'apt-cache show openjdk-6-jdk |grep Version' is 6b11-2ubuntu2 or not. openjdk is in universe repository in hardy. So the packages you are looking for are here (in case you manually want to install them) http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/o/openjdk-6/ http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/o/openjdk-6/ -- openjdk-6-jre is uninstalable as of Thu Aug 7 14:16:14 UTC 2008 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255738 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
