You have to edit mirrors in file /etc/apt/sources.list. Use command
'gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list'.

1. Try removing gb. from the mirror name. So you will be using main mirror.
2. Also make sure you have entries for hardy-updates, and hardy-security 
uncommented i.e. not starting with #.
After doing the changes you will have to do 'sudo apt-get update' first to 
update package listing.

Also check if output of command 'apt-cache show openjdk-6-jdk |grep
Version' is 6b11-2ubuntu2 or not.

openjdk is in universe repository in hardy. So the packages you are looking for 
are here (in case you manually want to install them)
