I'm experiencing the same issue on my HP Mini Note 2133, both on the wireless interface (b43) and the wired interface (tg3).
I did some tracing with wireshark and found that a response packet was being dropped and not resent. It was followed by a duplicate ACK. I don't know TCP well enough to provide any further insight, but I do have the wireshark capture file.
