Binary package hint: cups
When using system-config-printer to manage printers, if you click the
New Printer button, cups begins to search for printers, but the 'Please
Wait - Searching' dialog stays open forever, as there is a bug somewhere
causing cups to be unable to discover printers. I can never get past
that step, as the search for printers never completes. This is NOT a bug
within system-config-printer because when using the cups web interface,
you are unable to detect new printers as well. This problem also occurs
when running system-config-printer as root.
