Public bug reported: With the older Kernels of Ubuntu 6.10, 7.04, 7.10, ndiswrapper wrapped the windows XP driver of the AVM FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick (2005) beautifully. Will this bug be fixed? This is bad, because AVM is a popular seller of German WLAN boxes/sticks: http://www.avm.de/en/index.php3 and many German users depend on the WLAN stick mentioned above. I own one, too, and would not like to buy the newest WLAN equipment, just to be able to run Hardy. Nils Kassube's solution for Bug #200589: (fwlanusb crashes the system) does not work for me (as for others), since I have as only means to get to the Internet with Ubuntu, you guessed it, my Fritz!Stick. Sadly, I (as other users) have to run the new Hardy with the old kernel 2.6.22-14 (which works with ndiswrapper), and have to be stuck with it (forever?).
